About Me

After a recent birthday, not a “milestone” one but close enough, I took a good look at my life and realized that I don’t like what I see. Given an average life span, I’ve lived almost half of mine and where I am isn’t even close to the dreams that filled my head twenty years ago.

Don’t get me wrong. My life hasn’t been a failure. Like most people, I’ve had my ups and downs, but I’ve always managed to get by.

Therein lies the problem. I don’t want to reach the end of my life and look back to see that all I did was “get by.” I have bigger dreams than that. I want bigger dreams than that. I want to be able to look back on my life with a big grin and think “wow! what a ride!”

To do that, I need to make some changes.

I’ve always been a big fan of success and motivational books. I’ve read dozens of them over the years. Zig Ziglar, Anthony Robbins, W. Clement Stone. You name one and I’ve probably read at least one of their books. My problem is that I read them, feel good for a little while, and then set them on the shelf and go right on living my life the same way I did before. I don’t implement the techniques. I don’t DO anything with the information.

I intend to change that and I’m going to use this blog to help me do it. This blog is about accountability. It’s about really LEARNING these techniques and applying them to my life. It’s about making the changes I need to make to turn my life into that “wild ride.”

I’m going to write about it here, so others can learn from my successes and failures on this path to success. I want to shine a spotlight on what works and what doesn’t based on my own experiences. And most of all, I want other people to join me, to share this journey with me. Everything is easier when you have someone to lean on. Will you do that with me?

Hop on and lets go for this ride together.
