To Be A Light

To Be A Light is now offically switched to Expression Engine!

Fortunately, I was one of the lucky 1250 people to win a free copy of Expression Engine during their version 1.0 release promotion. I have been working with it for several days and the more I learn, the more I love it. It is more powerful and more flexible than Movable Type ever was or ever will be. It is a bit more complicated to learn than MT, but definitely much easier to work with once you get the hang of it.

I had been struggling with the decision of whether to switch to something else or stick with MT and wait to see what they would decide concerning pricing and licensing, but the struggle has ended. Expression Engine wins hands down! There is no comparison. Movable Type just can’t compete. Even if MT would decide tomorrow to go back to being free and unlimited, I wouldn’t go back. I would rather pay for EE than use MT for free. EE is that much better! It will take years for Movable Type to reach the power and functionality that Expression Engine already has.

I’m so glad I was able to get a free copy. If I hadn’t, I never would have known just how wonderful it is. For those of you still struggling with MT, I can only say one thing. If you can afford to spend the money, don’t waste it on Movable Type. Invest it in Expression Engine. It’s worth every penny and then some.
